It's not compatible with IC2 and Redpower. It is only compatible with Buildcraft because Buildcraft is open source. You do know that STEAM is then used to run a TURBINE which generates ELECTRICITY, right? It's a low tech power source. I mean, read a few STEAMPUNK books, and you'll have a half decent idea on what that mod adds. And if that's not enough, remember this: IN THE PAST, TRAINS RAN ON STEAM, and add a generator instead of cranks to power wheels, and you get STEAM POWER. AKA YOU GENERATE ELECTRICITY WITH THIS, BUT IN A MORE REALISTIC WAY THEN BULDCRAFT AND HOW IT'S ENGINES WORK.
